Drama Society to Present “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” in the Tisch Family Auditorium

The Gunnery Drama Society is proud to present “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” a musical by James Lapine and Peter Parnell, on Thursday, February 27, Friday, February 28 and Saturday, February 29, in the Tisch Family Auditorium of the Thomas S. Perakos Arts and Community Center. All performances begin at 7 p.m. The community is welcome to attend and admission is free. Registration is required. Please call (860) 350-0177.
 

Grace McEneaney competing on Bolero

Grace McEneaney '20 earned top equestrian awards from the Connecticut Hunter and Jumper Association (CHJA) this month. The Newtown resident received a first-place ribbon in the Junior Hunter Division for Connecticut, and a first-place ribbon and trophy in the same division for New England. The honors were presented at CHJA’s 50th anniversary awards banquet, held February 1 at The Riverview in Simsbury.
 

Student Earns Six Scholastic Art Awards

Charlotte Xu '20 was honored this month at the 30th annual Connecticut Regional Scholastic Art Awards, the largest juried student art exhibition in the state. Five of Xu’s photographs and one painting were selected by a blue ribbon panel of professional artists and university art faculty to be included in a statewide exhibition in the University of Hartford’s Silpe Gallery from January 13 through February 1.
 

Gunnery Girls Varsity Hockey Supports LoveYourBrain

The Girls Varsity Hockey Team successfully raised $3,291 for the LoveYourBrain Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to “improve the quality of life of people affected by traumatic brain injury through programs that build community and foster resilience.”
