Four Students Selected for Celebration of Young Photographers

Four Gunnery students have been selected to participate in the 9th annual Celebration of Young Photographers sponsored by ASAP! Jihoon An '20 was selected for his photograph titled, "Pollution." Vincent Cai '20 was selected for his photographs, “A Warm Kiss” and "Looking For The New Year." John Feng '20 was selected for his photographs, "Nostalgia" and "Aging," and Anna Gleason '23 was selected for her photographs, "Freedom" and "Embrace."
 

Based in Washington Depot, ASAP! is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing young people with opportunities to create works of art in a creative and collaborative environment. This year, the organization received over 400 submissions from students in grades 6 through 12 at 52 schools across the state based on the theme, “Current Mood.”

From these entries, a panel of professional photographers selected 60 winning photographs, which will be featured in a special exhibit on Sunday, November 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. at
Bryan Memorial Town Hall in Washington Depot. The top four photographers will be recognized for their outstanding work and will receive the 2019 Dylan's Wings Photography Award and a special prize.

Admission to the exhibition is free. The community is welcome to attend. Following the event, the exhibit will move to
The Judy Black Memorial Park and Gardens for a two-week extended viewing.
