Gunnery students at the Kent Art Association Annual Student Art Show

The Kent Art Association's 28th annual Student Show, featuring original paintings, drawings, photographs and ceramic art by 27 Gunnery students, will be open to the community again this weekend. Gallery hours are Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, from 1 to 5 p.m. at 21 South Main Street in Kent.
 

This year's exhibit features works by students in A.P. Studio Art and the Artistry and Technique co-curricular program, including: Jack Bavoso '22, Veronica Cortese '23, Linda Fan '21, Ally Gerry '21, Joanna Jin '23, Libby Maxwell '20, Joyce McFarland '20, Keven O’Farrell '22, Lilly O’Farrell '22, Maggie Perrella '23, Audrey Richards '23, Jenny Shen '23, Mackenzie Teper '21, Aria Trotta '23, Chris Wang '22, Ioanna Weiden '23, Em Woodruff '23, Charlotte Xu '20, Yoyo Zhang '22, Kyle Barbieri '20, Mara Thomas '22, Matteo Giampa '21, John Feng '20, Izzie DiGiacomo '20, Jack Gleason '21, Garett Argentino '20 and Eric Charpentier '21.

Xu received an Award of Excellence for her painting titled, "The Wave," at the opening reception on February 29.

The annual Student Show features works by students from area public and private high schools. In addition to The Gunnery, participating schools have included South Kent School, Kent School, Maplebrook School, Marvelwood School, Housatonic Valley Regional High School, and Millbrook High School and the Trinity-Pawling School in New York.
