The Gunnery has maintained a girls’ basketball program since becoming coed in 1978. We are a member of Class D within NEPSWBCA and play such schools as Hopkins, Canterbury, Miss Hall's, Cheshire, KLHT, Chase, Wilbraham & Monson, Stoneleigh-Burnham, Westover, and Millbrook.
Our program consists of a JV and Varsity team, and can accommodate athletes at all levels. The program places an emphasis on skill development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

Founded in 1850 by abolitionist, educator, and outdoorsman Frederick Gunn, The Gunnery is a coeducational college preparatory boarding and day school for students in grades 9 through 12/post-graduate.
